Crib bumpers

Molly MommySource Newbie Joined: Nov 13, 2007 Posts: 1 Location: SoCal	Posted: Mon Nov 12, 2007 7:31 pm    Post subject: Crib bumpers I read that you should not use the crib bumper because of SIDS - so I removed it. Then, last night my 7 week old wiggled around the crib and ended up with his leg stuck out of the crib. So now the bumpers are back on. Are the bumpers really a SIDS risk?

candy MommySource Newbie Joined: Aug 05, 2006 Posts: 4	Posted: Tue Nov 13, 2007 3:11 pm    Post subject: i have always used crib bumpers with both of my boys who are now 4 years old and 18 months. i think as long as the bumper is secured to the crib (mine have always tied on the rails) that you should be fine. Just be sure and place the baby in the middle of the crib too so that they aren't starting out too close to the edge. hope this helps!
